Introducing JAHAMA, the "sleeping giant" landowner

JAHAMA is the new property arm of GFG Alliance, a family-owned steel empire that possesses the UK’s fifth largest land portfolio, and gets described as a “sleeping giant” by its chief investment officer.

The company, which has big development ambitions, has appointed Duncan Mackison, former chief operating officer of Buccleugh Estates, as chief executive of JAHAMA Highland Estates. That company owns 140,000 acres of land in the foothills of Ben Nevis.
