With the government setting out a preferred route for East West Rail ahead of further expected announcements in next month’s Budget, ministers have offered welcome, explicit support for the Oxford Cambridge Arc. But will the government’s levelling up agenda see investment diverted to other parts of the country? And can this innovation corridor become a beacon for collaboration, innovation and sustainability?
