After making a presentation at EG’s Middle East Real Estate Forum in Dubai on 26 April about how Expo 2020 is emerging from a 438 hectare site – that’s twice the size of London’s Hyde Park – and how it is transforming Dubai’s built and cultural environment, Simon Clegg, its chief operating officer, spoke to EG further about the collaboration that is making it happen, the political will driving it and how, 12 months into his role, he has had to recalibrate in his mind the natural parameters of what he ever thought possible.
