Economic growth is contingent on Donald Trump running a presidency that is more moderate than his campaign.
That is according to Michael Gately, head of real estate research at Barings Real Estate Advisers, who said: “The baseline outlook for continued, modest, steady but slower growth here in the States bodes well for global economies.
“But it is based on the ability of Trump and his administration to dial back some of the emotion and work with the Republican infrastructure and Congress.”

Allianz has been working in European real estate finance since 2011, its portfolio gradually expanding from Germany and France to ten regions across the continent. So far its only UK exposure has been through a €650m (£567m) loan in 2015 to a cross-border NorthStar portfolio, which included offices in London.
But now Roland Fuchs, head of European real estate finance, explains why the UK commercial property industry looks like the “natural” next step for the lender and what it will look for.

We must look to the millennials for hope for the future following Donald Trump’s US presidential victory says CBRE’s San Francisco vice president.
Bay Area based Dan Harvey said that young adults with fresh ideas would spell change.
He said: “In terms of the tech sector following the election result, I think the positive story here comes from the millennials and the entrepreneurs who think differently. As the boomers become more elderly and the millennials start to take a larger role, there is a great hope that this generation will continue to reinvent our economy with new companies and will also reinvent government.”
