In this session we will look at the unique role that cities play in creating an equal society. We will investigate how planning can and should play a role in designing out exclusion, the role of infrastructure – physical and digital – in integration and how a new view on development should be able to bring people from all walks of life together. Should later living just be for the over 65s? Or are there societal (and economic) benefits of bringing the young to live alongside them?
