On this week's episode of We're Still Here we're talking recession and depression. Hardly the most upbeat of topics but there are silver linings to be found so it is worth a listen for tips from some of the industry's leading lights on preparing for tough times ahead.
Host Emily Wright is joined by EG news editor Pui-Guan Man and London editor Louise Dransfield as we delve into some of the big news and trends emerging out of the capital and look at the impact of the predicted upcoming economic hardship across the sector in its entirety.
Listen out for positivity along the way as we also consider why the real estate sector is in a comparably strong position to weather the storm and reveal who believes the industry will come out of this crisis more innovative and creative than ever before.

In this week's episode of the EG We're Still Here podcast we ask the big questions. Host Emily Wright is joined by editor Sam McClary and residential reporter Emma Rosser as we look back on 'the week of the furlough', consider whether everyone is being responsible when it comes to accepting Government support and debate when and how lockdown might eventually be lifted.
We also look back at this week's other big news, trends and analysis and catch up on how we have all been getting on as we come to the end of the fourth full week of remote working. From forgetting the Easter weekend to resorting to drinking wine out of an old pasta jar after a last minute house move before lockdown, it is still taking some getting used to.
We did remember Easter in the nick of time and so this podcast comes to you on a Thursday this week. We will be back next Friday with another news round-up and tales from the EG team.

In the third episode of EG's We're Still Here podcast we continue to help support the industry with a weekly round-up of news, analysis and tips for happier home-working.
News editor Pui-Guan Man and reporter Lucy Alderson join tech editor Emily Wright on this week's podcast to talk about how the sector is recovering after a tough few days. From confusion over whether construction sites should close to concerns off the back of quarterly rent day as some retailers look to take advantage of the new, relaxed rules, we delve into some of the biggest issues impacting real estate nearly two weeks into lockdown.
We also touch on some more positive news including the impact of widespread remote working in terms of digitally upskilling the industry and the power of a virtual coffee break.
We're still here. See you next week.

On this week's episode of We're Still Here, EG's podcast to get you through these strange times, tech editor and head of Special Projects Emily Wright is joined by EG's deputy editor Tim Burke and deputy legal and professional editor Jess Harold.
With topics for discussion ranging on the mental health implications of working through a lockdown - or, indeed, questioning the mental health implications of forcing everyone back to the office five day's a week post pandemic - to new support methods for landlords, this episode covers a lot of ground.
Perfect for anyone after a weekly update on EG's top stories and analysis plus a little human interaction to finish off the week.
We talk about how the industry is being tested but how doing good as well as doing good business should be top of the agenda throughout and beyond these tough times.
Happy Friday from the team here at EG, we'll be back next week.
